Nice portfolio you have there. I’ll have to take a look at RIG and SDRL, I’m not familiar with those companies. The yields are pretty juicy.
I like the layout of your blog, it looks sharp. Where was that photo taken? Looks like somewhere I’d want to retire.
Compounding Income,
You have a very impressive looking portfolio there yourself! I will definitely be following your blog to keep up with your progress. It’s great inspiration for other new dividend investors like myself.
Thanks for the kind words! The picture was taken in Hawaii by my brother. He used a wide angle lense to shoot a panoramic. Using this image is the only way I can get him to visit this blog 😉
Nice dividend income! Have you thought about doing a monthly income post?
Marvin,
Thanks! Yes, that’s covered under categories -> Monthly Expenses
I try to update that once a month.
You should put your cost basis on this chart.
Nice portfolio!
I’m a bit new to investing, but I think I prefer the long term, Buffet type. I’m a bit confused as to how these accounts(as a whole) go up, aside from adding principle in here and there, but some of these Index funds have been around the same price as in 2002. I’ve also seen people hold hundreds of thousands in stocks/funds that have gone up and down and after 20 years are back to the prices they bought it at. How has their portfolio as a whole increased?
One example may be VWAHX. after 10 years its only gone up 20 cents . I understand its a bond, but I’ve also seen many other stock funds that haven’t really gone anywhere over 10-20 years yet their retirement account has gone up significantly.
Nice portifolio, I would add a column with basis cost and another with annualized return.
Looks like your strategy is starting to play out nicely.
When do you plan to exit your holdings?
I except a lot of volatility in both directions, moving forward. All along my thesis has been 3-5 year hold but we’ll see.
Any thoughts on Rex.v -Orex Minerals?
Thank you
Hi. Those dividend stats are NOT from your current portfolio right? Is any of the mining stocks paying dividends right now?
BTW, do you think it is still a good time to get in the mining stocks?
Thanks
Dividend stats are from 2012, so a long time ago… I no longer hold any of those shares.
In regards to mining stocks, it’s tough to say, but I thought 2015 was a wonderful opportunity… In general, pullbacks usually make for good entry points. DYODD and best of luck.
Cheers!
Can you tell me your thoughts on Energy Fuels (UUUU)? You used to own it?
Thanks.
Hi mate,
any chance you could upload your stock holdings as of today again? the image won’t load for some reason….just wondering how many BGS shares you are currently holding and if you plan on getting more?
I currently have 100,000 shares and thinking of getting more ahead of todays AGM.
Thanks again,
michael
Michael,
I’m currently at 91,000 shares of BGS, and yes, I have plans of adding some more before assays 🙂
Take care!
The image comes from Google… Might want to try refreshing the page a few times, sometimes that does the trick.
Hi,
Could recommend some good dividend stocks today 😉 ?
Hi
Do you keep your portfolio updated on the website on the website?
Hi worried about bgs? Any recommendation for this stock?
Do you draw any comparisons between Lithium X and BGS?
Hey FiFighter, I read a lot of your stuff and I am super inspired. What are your thoughts on stocks Pilot Gold, and Savary Gold, and do you also buy physical gold and silver?
Hi,
Your portfolio here does not seem to be updated since April 13th. Is this the current list of stocks you own in the Mining space or has it needs to be updated?
