Thank You Edition #7 Released!

Thank You Edition #7 has just been released to subscribers! I’m very sorry for all the delays, but as you guys well know, I’ve been busy with renovation work going on in my new personal residence, running around all the time.

Anyway, I’m very happy to get the latest update out to you guys, and if you just bear with me, I’m also going to experiment around a bit, and hopefully I can put this looooooong article into a “more convenient to read” .pdf file for you all.

When the .pdf file is ready, just like the eBook, I’ll send out an email alert with the link attached where you can go to download the latest Thank You Newsletter.

With that out of the way, I must say, writing these newsletters does take a lot of my time/effort, and to be perfectly honest, I’m not quite so sure if there is enough interest (yet) in my “premium content” to justify all this work I’m taking on.

For long-term (hardcore) followers of this blog, no doubt, I really appreciate all your support and I sincerely do hope that this type of “premium service” type of content is worth whatever price it is that you paid for. Please, feel free to let me know what you think, as that’s the only way I can learn and improve, moving forward.

Somehow, someway, someday, I really would like to find a way to deliver enough value to justify charging say $10/newsletter (give or take).

I’m really trying my best, so yeah, please leave me a note and let me know what you think!

For anyone who’s really not so sure what I’m up to with these newsletters, in a nutshell it’s the following:

I made tremendous “life-changing gains” via mining stocks, and I did so as a retail shareholder. In other words, I did my own research, and outside of a single private placement I participated in (which I lost a lot of money in), all my gains were made simply buying/selling shares during normal business hours on the most popular stock exchanges (i.e. NYSE, TSX, TSX-V, ASX, LSE, etc.).

That’s it!

I didn’t do anything special (or fancy)!

I understand it’s NOT a level playing field by any means (however I have never been privy to what goes on behind the scenes), but I’m just trying to do my part to help out my fellow retail speculators (i.e. someone who’s busy working a full time job all day) as best I can.

Sharing my own thoughts, opinions, and trying to learn from past mistakes…

I won’t always get it right, of course, but hopefully the content I’m delivering can be useful to you as supplementary material, as you conduct your own due diligence and research.

Having said all that, I must say that I do take a lot of pride in my work and hopefully there’s enough interest to keep this going, and ideally (in a perfect world), I can step up my game and crank things up a level (or two), as well.

As we speak, to be perfectly frank, donations have more or less dried up entirely, and from a business perspective, I am starting to ponder whether or not my work would have more value if I just sold “premium content” pieces, outright, at a fixed price.

I still love the concept of donations and all that (and existing subscribers are “grandfathered in”, don’t worry), but just speaking truth here, my blog just isn’t popular or followed enough (yet) to really be able to maximize the donations avenue…

Why lie? It would be awesome to bring in more revenue for my work, which is more or less becoming a full-time gig at this stage of my life.

Certainly, I think most readers can appreciate how good it feels to earn $$$ for their labor, right??

This blog has been an awesome hobby for the last 7 years or so, but eventually, I need to challenge myself as well, and like I’ve alluded to many times before in the past, I need to figure out a way to make $$$ from my writing.

Just sharing some thoughts out loud, I hope you guys can emphasize and understand the different types of battles we all face in life.

Keep up the good work Jay, you’re doing a great job giving inspiration, perspective and fresh investment ideas to those of us still in trenches.

Here in the UK, no one I know is interested in FI, being a LL investor / speculator is lonely, so reading your blog is a great help.

All the best, Al
