Life is Short (And Precious)

Well, 49 days of prayers are now over and done with… It’s never easy saying goodbye to a loved one (especially someone who was THE ROCK and foundation of your entire family), but it is what it is…

 

Life happens, and we just have to deal with it.

 

Yes, there’s been a lot of time for recollection and stuff like that… Importantly, I’ve been trying to use these past few weeks/month to spend more time with my family members, and to make the most of all our limited opportunities to be around each other.

Things happen so fast, and it’s like next thing you know it, another 5 years, 10 years, have gone by…

We spend so much time reminiscing these days about the past, like we almost forget to live “in the moment” a lot of the times…

So, while I’m back in California, it’s all about FAMILY.

Last weekend, it was a lot of fun to grab some iced coffee + ice cream (two of gmom’s favorites) with the fam…

Just sit back, chill, talk random nonsense, and enjoy the day.

Ultimately, that’s what I think life and early FI are all about — Finding simplicity and beauty in the “mundane” stuff… The little things are what make life so damn enjoyable (memorable) when all is said and done…

 

Yes, there’s a lot of stuff I want to do/tackle/achieve still, but again, life happens, and you just gotta roll with it.

 

I look forward to returning to Manila later this year to “resume business as usual” but until then, I’m just gonna do my best to immerse myself around family + friends while I’m still in the Yay Area.

 

There’s altogether too much noise… It’s time to get back to basics and the stuff that ultimately matters most.

FiF –

You said it. Simpler. Importance. Time. Enjoy the time with family & friends, money will continue to be made and grow on your journey, but these moments/this time – we won’t be able to get back. Great article.
