Trip to the Emerald City (April 25, 2014)

I’m currently working on some real estate posts, and I hope to have one ready in the next few days. In the meantime, I wanted to announce some exciting news — I will be making a trip out to Seattle this Friday!

I will be in town attending a Frequent Traveler University event. This will help me learn more about travel hacking and hopefully give me a great opportunity to network with others in that world.

I’m a travel hacking newbie, and ever since Vanilla Reloads got shut down, I’ve had to resort to some other tactics to load Bluebird. Also, yesterday I was approved for my second Citi Executive card! Just like before, I will need to spend $10,000 in 3 months to earn 100,000 AA miles. Exciting times!

While at the conference, I will be handing out these cheesy business cards:

If any bloggers or readers will be in the Seattle area this weekend and want to meet up, please let me know! I’ll be staying near the Space Needle.

Seattle in April. Hopefully Boston in May… Time to travel!

Do you have any exciting trips coming up? Where do you want to travel to this year?

This sounds fun! I haven’t been to Seattle yet but I’m hoping to soon. I hope you write a post of your experience there – have fun!

Seattle is a beautiful city. I have stopped there on a couple of trips to Alaska. When I reach FI, I look forward to a long road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway and then continue to Canada along the coast. Have a blast on your trip!

Actually, a post I would LOVE to see would be about how to travel hack while investing in real estate and the best practices for opening and closing credit cards vs. the timing of closing on a real estate investment and your credit score.

Sounds like a fun trip though! I’ve never been to the Pacific Northwest and definitely want to check it out someday!

It should be a great trip. Are you flying or driving?

It’s always great to get away. I look forward to your RE posts, I just scheduled a post for tomorrow about my flip that I made $26K on in just 80 hours.

make sure you write the trip off, as a travel expense for your business.

Boston in May? I’ll be there the first week with my wife. Let me know we can get a beer.

A frugal family's journey

Enjoy Seattle. Our family took a trip up to Seattle a few years back. In case its your first time, a duck (land/sea) tour is a great way to see Seattle!
