Real Wealth Income Report – August 2018

in Real Wealth Income Report

Join me on my new quest for redemption! After blowing myself up to the tune of losing over -$200,000 investing in junk turnkey turkey properties out-of-state (South Chicago), I’m going to do my best to: start over, work extra hard, and rebuild for a better tomorrow.

While I apply myself (and my labor) to try and earn $200,000 all over again, I’m going to make things more fun and interesting by adding a twist to things — Since my intent from the very beginning with those failed rental properties was to try and generate monthly cash flow, I will use any earned income I make online to invest in more traditional Buy and Hold Forever assets (particularly dividend paying stocks/ETFs/index funds) that do exactly just that — Pay me regular passive income distributions.

So, as much as I’m a “gambler” at heart and like to speculate on “the next big thing”, I will refrain from partaking in that gamble gamble stuff this time around with this particular project; if I want to gamble (no doubt), I will do that with my own spec money, NOT my earned online income.

Since I’ve been blessed beyond belief to have made good money elsewhere (i.e. Bay Area real estate and mining stocks), despite the catastrophic failures I had to suffer in Chicago, I am still in a good place financially and at this time I would like to focus my attention on other important matters such as helping the less fortunate and giving back to society.

Introducing the Real Wealth Project.

As it pertains to “real wealth” after spending an entire week hanging out with my niece this summer, I’ve learned to appreciate just what “real wealth” actually is. I want many more experiences such as that!

My intentions with this Real Wealth Project are two-fold:

  • Reclaim what I believe is rightfully mine and what was unjustly stripped way from me, $200,000 in capital. So, I want to earn online income and contribute it to what I’m calling the Real Wealth Portfolio, which (if I’m aiming for the sky), I hope and pray can hit $200,000 in overall value… someday!
  • More importantly, on the journey to $200,000, dividend distributions paid out to me from the Real Wealth Portfolio will be used to help me perform charity work, help the less fortunate, and give back to society. Money is a tool and I want more of it to help me do more good in this world! In other words, any dividends I earn will NOT be re-invested to buy more shares. But the whole idea is that this Real Wealth Portfolio will endure the test of time and last forever and be the gift that keeps on giving and giving and giving… lots and lots and lots more dividends! Everything that Shitcago was supposed to do for me, but failed miserably at, this Real Wealth Portfolio will succeed brilliantly at. Again, I’m looking for redemption here! And trying to learn from my previous fuck ups in life.

Though of course, most definitely, I won’t deny it at all — Selfishly, I really do also want back ALL that $200,000 that I lost in Chicago, but anything extra that comes my way, and of course all the dividends distributed, I just wanna give away (at my discretion).

With that said, let’s kick off the inaugural Real Wealth Income Report for August 2018.

As readers may be well aware, most recently I published my first ebook:

Mining Stocks – Investing In A Bear Market

So far, I have received 20 donations in total, supporting my work. Thank you all so much!

For an August 2018 grand total of:

Please keep in mind — This first ebook was simply a “test pilot” for me. In other words, I have done very little marketing/promotion, and I’m not even outright selling the book. Donations are in support of the work I publish on this site, and in essence the ebook is just a “thank you” item for my most loyal and hardcore followers.

But eventually, I will release my first “official” product for sale and probably do a product launch and all that more fancy stuff…

All in due time…

As you probably know by now, I’m not much a sales/marketing guy at all. Up to this point in my life, I’ve been nothing more than a mere content creator, so if I’m going to attempt all that other stuff, I’ve got my work cut out for me and I really need to learn the “rules of the game”. Yup, I’m going to try and figure that stuff out, one step at a time…

But to be perfectly honest, even while doing so, I still want to have fun along the way and do things on my own terms… So, although my own approach may not be optimal (I tend to sell myself short more often than not), I feel like as long as I’m working hard and genuinely putting in the effort to publish QUALITY content, things will still work out in the end…

Sure, it’s partially about making money, yes of course, but I need to be providing readers/followers with real value content as well, or it’s all for naught…

Hopefully, there’s a “win-win” for all parties involved…

Anyway, so far for first month of August, I was able to rack in: $418.90

As already mentioned, all these funds will be used as proceeds to help me invest into Buy and Hold Forever dividend paying stocks/funds.

To make this whole process even more fun for everyone, at least to start out with anyway, I’ll leave it up to readers to decide which stock/ETF/index fund I allocate this earned online income to. Please feel free to cast your vote below in the comment section! And I’ll probably setup a poll next week… Once the votes are tallied up, I will make an announcement of the winning stock, which I will then proceed to buy on the open market shortly after.

Off the top of my head, I’m thinking right now, I’d go with the following index fund:

Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund (VWO). It currently has a dividend yield of 2.61%.

Anyway, let me know what you think!

For your generosity, I will send you a copy of my latest ebook, linked below again.

Mining Stocks – Investing In A Bear Market

As I mentioned last time around, if you asked me, I think the content in the ebook is worth $20/copy. So far, I’ve gotten some very positive feedback from readers, many vouching for the quality of the work and suggesting that it’s worth $20/copy (and perhaps more).

Here are some testimonials that have come in, so far.

Testimonial #2:

Testimonial #4:

Once again, for PayPal donations, you can use the button below.

Thanks everyone! Your support means a lot to me, and hopefully more reviews will trickle in after folks have had some more time to digest the ebook material. LOL! That last sentence from Testimonial #4 has got me chuckling, still.

I definitely did put a lot of time and effort into writing the ebook, so of course the kind words and encouragement I’m getting from readers means a lot to me!

In all honesty, my own internal goal with the ebook was to generate between 50-100 donations. In hindsight, I was probably aiming too high for this initial “test pilot”, but hopefully interest builds over time and I can make strides to do better in the future.

Anyway, this report just marks the Starting Point of my next journey.

I sincerely hope you’ll find the next chapter of the FI Fighter saga interesting and worth following along to.

Once again — To make this whole process even more fun for everyone, at least to start out with anyway, I’ll leave it up to readers to decide which stock/ETF/index fund I allocate this earned online income to. I just wanted to endorse two ETFs for your Real Wealth Portfolio. They are Vanguard’s High Dividend Yield Indexes, VYM and VYMI. The first one is for the US and the second one for the rest of the world.

I use these two ETFs as the core of my taxable brokerage account investments. I have about $200k in each of them. With the amount of money I have invested in them, they threw off roughly $12k in dividends last year and I am projecting it will be around $13.3k this year.

I like them a lot because they consistently pay out a growing dividend, the expense ratio is very low, the turn over ratio is very low, and they have a value tilt which means they usually have better P/E and P/B than the rest of the market. They are also very tax efficient.

I use “Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield ETF“ for a portfolio with a similar goal – in my mind it fits well the high-quality/hold-forever goals.

I’ll second VYM and add VGI.

Lots of votes for Vanguard dividend ETFs!

Thanks ya’ll. I’ll keep those names in mind and start up a poll once funds are ready to be spent. 🙂
