Hong Kong

Now that I had more or less sorted out the basic logistics of everyday living: food, phone/wi-fi, transportation, etc. it was time to start exploring HK in more depth to learn what it was all continue reading at Steemit

After being greeted with perhaps one of the most gorgeous views of the sunrise that I had ever seen in my life, I got up that morning in Hong Kong (my new home) as excited as one could possibly be.

I couldn’t wait to get downstairs and catch a view of the city in broad daylight!

Yes, the following picture is the very first one I captured that morning of continue reading at Steemit

Just a little over one year ago, I quit my engineering job so that I could pursue a life unscripted. For months prior to letting the mic drop, I contemplated my options and worked on figuring out where I wanted the journey to take me next.

After much deliberation, I ultimately [click to continue…]

HK - 1

One year ago (6/29/16), this finally happened…

Early FI.

The culmination of a lot of: hard work, sweat, blood, tears, luck, persistence, determination, more luck, and a whole lot more…

Back in late 2011, I set a goal for myself to [click to continue…]

When it comes to life, everyone knows that you’ve got to approach things with an open mind. I mean, the more you know about ANYTHING, the more humble you become and the more you realize that you don’t actually know jack shit at all…

Well, that’s been my approach, anyway, and now that I’m back in the Bay Area and reflecting on the past nine months of my life, I’m more convinced than ever that having that type of  [click to continue…]

For the first time in my life, I got to experience Thanksgiving outside of America… Since I’ve grown so accustomed to waiting in long lines on Black Friday, I guess you could say that subconsciously speaking, I made it my duty this past Friday to go out looking for “trouble”…

So, I decided to FINALLY head on over to Lantau Island and do the [click to continue…]

When it comes to blog posts, I’ll be the first to admit that lately I’ve been spending a lot of time and effort focusing on precious metals mining stocks more than anything else… But not to lose sight of the fact that this website should be primarily focused on early FI, I’ve remained cognizant and aware of the need for me to eventually get back to my roots…

It has been awhile, and I don’t think I’ve posted [click to continue…]

Nida - 1

First off, I gotta say typhoon Nida was a new and unique experience for me. Luckily, not too much damage was done, but I think the typhoon really started picking up around 2:00 AM yesterday, and unfortunately for me, I didn’t get out of bed until around 7:00 AM. When I woke up and checked around the house, everything appeared to be in [click to continue…]
