March 2016

Well, with my Hong Kong trip just around the corner (essentially), it’s probably just about time for me to start cleaning up the mess that I’ve made over the last few years… Although I don’t have too much junk (I think), I have a very serious problem of feeling nostalgic everytime I contemplate the decision to throw something away…

The other day, I was going through my old textbooks, and I really couldn’t believe how many I’ve accumulated in the last 7-8 years. Once upon a time, I had a “dream” about transitioning into the engineering role of Integrated Circuits (IC) Designer… So, I bought up a bunch of books and studied this stuff like all the time – after work, on weekends, whenever I had free time.

But since discovering the path to early FI, man, so much has changed… and I really believe for [click to continue…]

Personal Health – Spreading Awareness

There is absolutely nothing in life that matters more than your own personal health — Without it, frankly, nothing else matters. Health is a very sensitive subject to talk about, and quite honestly, it’s something that I would rather prefer to keep private myself. But being a blogger and strong proponent of the early FI lifestyle, part of me feels a strong moral responsibility and obligation to spread the word as best I can. When it comes to health, the ravages of overwork are something that I know about all too well… I’ve been battling with Adrenal Fatigue/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) for a number of years now…

So, I learned very early on in my 20s not to take health [click to continue…]

They say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In my own case, the path to early financial independence did indeed begin in 2012 when I first decided to take the simple action of starting a blog and declaring to the world:

“I desperately desire to be unplugged from the Matrix.”

Knowing definitively what you want out of life is oftentimes more than half the battle. For me, once I was able to hone in and figure out continue reading at InvestmentZen

Don’t Sell Yourself Short… Ever

When it comes to early financial independence, unlike some people, I do feel like there are shortcuts there. And should opportunities present themselves to you along the way, you owe it to yourself to exploit them as much as possible. Because the fact of the matter is, if you don’t, someone else will…

For most of us, in order to get to the top of the summit, we will have to make the bulk of our progress working for someone else. Since a great majority of people get their  [click to continue…]

Klondex Mines (NYSEMKT:KLDX) is a growing junior gold producer that operates the Fire Creek and Midas mines in Nevada. Thus far, I have been impressed with the company’s disciplined approach to focus its efforts more so on maintaining a strong balance sheet and capital structure, from quarter to quarter, as opposed to merely chasing continue reading at Seeking Alpha

So, lately, I’ve been having a blast doing all sorts of things that I’ve always wanted to do — One of them, is to get around to networking with more early financial freedom fighters. Just as I expected, the experience so far has been far more rewarding than even I could have possibly imagined. No, you’re never going to meet [click to continue…]

With the recent strong performance from gold and gold mining shares, one might want to ponder and ask, “How is gold’s little brother silver doing?”

As of the time of this writing, the spot price of silver is trading at $15.83/oz, up 15% YTD.

So, pretty good… relatively speaking. Silver is starting to climb out of its hole (thanks partially to a dovish Fed), and these strong gains have also translated their way over to continue reading at Seeking Alpha
